O Projeto Pedestre partiu de uma conta no Instagram (@___pedestre) criada para a guarda de imagens que colecionava ao sair para fazer caminhadas na rua. O que me interessava nas imagens que eu produzia eram as soluções temporárias, as construções móveis, a transitoriedade dos objetos e as formações urbanas espontâneas.
Os cones que demarcam o espaço, os tijolos que sustentam fitas de demarcação que delimitam o espaço, caçambas lotadas, cimento secando na calçada, entre outras imagens que nos deparamos todos os dias na paisagem urbana.
Aos poucos, outras pessoas começam a registrar seus encontros com essas formações, seus embates com o espaço e com a paisagem urbana - o olhar dessas pessoas são conduzidos, de alguma maneira, à essas imagens breves e efêmeras. São enviados por mensagem seus registros, com o intuito de tê-los também nesse web-depósito de imagens compartilhadas.
Dessa forma, o projeto se transforma em um espaço para uma meditação sobre os fragmentos da cidade, eternizar imagens que se perderam na memória de quem vê e de quem passa, documentar os rastros e ruínas urbanas.
The Pedestrian Project started with an Instagram account (@___pedestre) created to archive the images I collected when I went for walks in the street. What interested me about the images I produced were the temporary solutions, the mobile constructions, the transience of objects and the spontaneous urban formations. The cones that demarcate space, the bricks that support demarcation tapes that delimit space, full dumpsters, cement drying on the sidewalk, among other images that we come across every day in the urban landscape. Gradually, other people began to record their encounters with these formations, their clashes with space and the urban landscape - their perspective is somehow led to these brief, ephemeral images. They send their records by message, with the intention of also having them in this web depository of shared images. In this way, the project becomes a space for meditating on the fragments of the city, eternalizing images that have been lost in the memory of the beholder and passer-by, documenting urban traces and ruins.
